Theresa is a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which includes acupuncture and herbal therapy among the other modalities such as cupping, tui-na (acupressure), and moxibustion.

 

She is a graduate from one of largest TCM schools in the U.S., the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City, where she received a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine. She is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Dr. Tsao, her supervisor and teacher at PCOM, described her as "one of the best students I taught at various institutes of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Oriental Medicine, and Acupuncture" (personal communication, 11/02/11).

 

Throughout her 10 years of practice as an Occupational Therapist in Rehabilitation Medicine and 2 years as a classical yoga instructor, she has witnessed the benefits of holistic healing: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Her experience and training complement the use of Acupuncture and other TCM modalities to restore the balance of the whole person.
