TEACHERS at the TRIYOGA CENTER OF PHILADELPHIA
Marj has been studying yoga for about 12 years and has been blessed to have been introduced to TriYoga through some wonderful teachers such as Jyoti (Linda Stuart), Kashi (Carolyn Armstrong), Bindu (Brenda Kunda), and Citrini (Christine Ware). She is certified in Basics and is an intern in Levels 1 and 2. She loves the way TriYoga builds from level to level, and also the meditative and spiritual aspects of the practice.
Marj has taught math and is now working in accounting. She is very involved at her church and loves spending time with family and friends, reading, and walking the dog. TriYoga has had a huge influence on her life and she loves sharing it with others.
Bashanti is certified in Basics, and a TriYoga Intern in Levels 1 and 2. She loves being immersed in the flow and the community of the TriYoga Center of Philadelphia and the larger TriYoga community. Beth’s Sanskrit name, Bashanti, means Spring, Original Source, Beginning or Pure Energy. She loves sharing TriYoga with others and plans to continue her TriYoga journey into the next Levels. Her first experience with yoga came as a teenager through a book her father “borrowed” from his school’s library and kept “out” for a long time. Many years later, she found TriYoga. She continues to be wonderfully surprised at how central to her life it has become. Whenever possible, she studies with Kaliji and senior teachers.
Bashanti also practices Tai Chi and The Radiance Technique® (first and second degrees). Additionally, she is a poet, storyteller, independent Welsh & Celtic scholar, book artist and publisher as well as teaching artist. Her evolving website is: www.bethphilips.com. Practice of TriYoga and its principles have brought many gifts and new life to Bashanti and her creative work.
Throughout her life, Rebecca has found a deep connection to helping others, both people and animals. In helping others, she naturally progressed to embrace massage therapy and yoga in her life. Through these healing modalities, she has witnessed many transformations in others as well as in herself. Therapeutic massage enhances the body’s natural ability to heal. In an era where stress can run high and time very limited, it is essential that the mind and body have the opportunity to connect on a deep plane. Moreover, the Barnes’ method of Myofascial Release allows one to release the emotions, physical trauma and restrictions that keep one perpetually in the pain cycle. By working to release the myofascial restrictions, one can begin to feel the benefits of the body’s natural ability to heal. This release is vital to harmony and wellness. Through massage, myofascial release, and yoga, Rebecca hopes to help clients and students bridge the gap between mind and body, restore the natural balance to their lives, and embrace healing, peace and joy in their lives. Feel free to visit her website at www.trinityflowservices.com.

Gerry is certified in Kali Ray TriYoga Basics and Level 1. She is an Intern in Level 2, and believes that this deepening of her yoga knowledge and training must be ongoing. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level. She took her first yoga class in 1970, is also certified in Kripalu Yoga, and is a healing energy practitioner in the Philadelphia area. Her philosophy for her own teaching has been honed with guidance from the myriad of teachers and healers with whom Gerry has trained. When Gerry is not teaching yoga classes, she is painting in her studio in Norristown, PA. She uses her background in energy work, meditation, and the visual arts to awaken body, mind, and spirit. Her yoga classes are a beautiful expression of this mindfulness practice – a vehicle to elevate the spirit. Gerry leads a busy life with yoga, painting, and her family, knowing that her daily practice keeps her living fully.
